Jim McNeely
Peter's favorite composer and teacher. Jim is the composer-in-residence for the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra who recently released their second CD dedicated to his music.



The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra
The best big band/jazz orchestra on the planet, the band foremerly known as the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra can be heard every Monday night at NYC's historic Village Vanguard.



Ryan Sciaino
Peter's brother Ryan Sciaino is a multi-talented musician and artist. Check out his multimedia works on this great website.



Alan Bjorklund
Alan is a former student and a great friend of Peter's who is really taking off. Alan can be heard on "Mamsita Needs a Break," from Peter's CD, Project which is in the listen portion of this site. Check out his site to hear some great clips and find out about his live shows!



Anthony Mazzocchi
Tony is on the faculty of Montclair State University, the Manhattan School of Music precollege division, and the Kinhaven Music School. He's also a great trombonist and long-time friend who is featured on multiple tracks of Peter's CD, Project.



The Center for Improvisational Music
This organization offers some of the best programs and classes around. Students can sign up for week long summer workshops or individual classes which are open to the public for a small fee.



Dave Douglas
Wonderful trumpet player and composer, Dave has proven to be an original voice for the trumpet and jazz for the past decade. Check out recordings at Greenleaf Music which is his own label.



Ralph Alessi
Amazingly creative improvisor and trumpet player, Ralph is the director of the School for Improvisational Music in Brooklyn.



Ron Miles
A wonderfully original musician who is based in Denver, CO. Ron has played with Bill Frissell, Don Byron, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra and currently leads his own group.
